Installing TempsPlus on a New Work Station

1. If you don't already have the latest version of the Temps Plus setup file (TPSETUP.EXE), download it here.

2. Press [Next >] at the prompt.

3. Wait while the InstallShield Wizard reads the contents of the package.

4. Press [Next >] at the prompt.

5. Press [Yes] to accept the license agreement.

6. Press [Next >] at the prompt to accept the default Destination Folder - it will probably default to "C:\Program Files\Temps Plus JKM".

7. If this is the first time you are installing Temps Plus on this workstation, you must change the "Path to common network files" path, by pressing the [Browse] button.

8. Now, either type in the path to the location of the common network files (the "Npath" as we call it in Temps Plus), or you may browse to it using the Drive and Directory areas of the window.

If you do not know what your "NPATH" is, please call support for assistance.

9. Now, confirm that the "Path to common network files" is correct, then check the first four boxes (Check Printing, Invoice Printing, Supervisor Utilities, and Branch Transfer/Gather).

WARNING: The 5th and 6th boxes (Shared Files, Demo Database) must NOT be checked (or they must be dimmed out as unavailable), unless this is a first time installation on your complete network system. Otherwise you will overwrite tax calculations, invoice and check formats, etc. with new defaults, which will undoubtedly be INCORRECT.

Press [Next >] to continue when you are sure everything is correct. If you are not sure, call support for assistance.

10. Press [Next >] to continue.

11. Wait for files to copy.

12. Wait for TPSETUP to update your system.

13. Answer "NO" to start the TpAlarm service.

14. If you are prompted to, restart your system by pressing the [Finish] button - after making sure you have no other programs running.

After restarting your system, you may now run the Temps Plus application (you may wish to add a shortcut to your desktop - check your Windows documentation on how to do this).

On a Final Note: Depending on any new operating system libraries that need to be installed on your computer, you may get a message informing you that the required files need to be installed on your computer at some point in the installation. Be sure to answer [Yes] to successfully complete the installation.
